The Only Tools Your Kitchen Needs.

Affordable Luxury Meets Kitchen Tools

Misen founder, Omar Rada, was new to cooking and learning how to do the basics. But one thing he quickly realized was that good, quality cookware truly made a difference in his food.

“My previous knife and pans had been pretty mediocre, so using a friend's high-end skillet was a revelation. It made me realize that my current kitchen tools actually made cooking harder and less fun.”

But when he decided to go out and buy his own knives and pans, he was overwhelmed by all the choices and even more so by the prices. The only options were giant sets of mediocre crap that wouldn’t last more than a few years or premium stuff that costs over $150 for a single pan.

That’s when Misen was born.

With a mission and passion to create premium cooking essentials for an honest and affordable price. We believe that anyone with a few simple, well-built tools can cook a masterpiece in the kitchen.

You Don't Need More - You Need Better

Traditional cookware companies sell you lots of things you don’t need like big sets filled with mediocre products thanks to confusing marketing jargon. Even though studies show that most home cooks only use a few knives and pans, most people end up with massive sets of inferior cookware that they’ll hardly use.

At Misen, we believe less can be more and that transparency and honesty are key. Instead of spending a load of money on sub-standard kitchen tools you should spend less money and get quality essential pieces that’ll last you a lifetime.

What You Need (and Don't Need)

Here’s a secret that a lot of companies in the cookware space don’t want you to know: with just a few simple tools, you can make pretty much any meal in your kitchen.

In fact, a high-quality Chef’s Knife can do 95% of what an entire 10-piece knife set can do. Here’s what you really need to stock your kitchen like a pro.

A Good Chef's Knife

A great knife should feel good in your hand, stay sharp and hold up over time to the rigors of your kitchen. A good knife is easy to grip, has a long enough blade to cut through bigger things, and can easily slice, chop, draw, and mince.

Misen knives are made from quality, AUS-8 Japanese steel. They have a 60% higher carbon content than our competitors, so we’re able to build a knife that offers toughness and sharpness.

Paring Knife

The small but mighty cousin of the Chef Knife. This little blade is used simple tasks like peeling, coring, and generally just being a nice little blade to keep handy for all your prep work.

Features

Misen knives are made with AICHI steel, offering a great balance of sharp edge retention and durability, with 60% more carbon content than other “premium” knives.

Our knives incorporates a sloped bolster that travels gradually onto the blade face and encourages a proper "pinch grip" for better comfort and control.

While most Western-style knives have edge angles of 25 degrees, we use more acute 15 degree angles for a noticeably sharper cutting face.

Thick Stainless Steel Cookware

A thicker pan (like Misen's 5-ply) allows for more distance between the flame and the surface of the pan. Heat diffuses as it flows, so the extra distance allows heat to flow to the surface evenly (and be retained longer).

The result? Even heating, better browning, quicker boiling, and cookware that's actually fun to use.

The best part? Heavy duty cookware like Misen’s is easy to care for because it can withstand high heat, any cooking utensil, and is dishwasher friendly. It’ll last a lifetime with minimal effort.

The Perfect Blend of Metals

Just like a great meal requires great ingredients, so too does a quality pan require quality materials.

Why Pay More and Get Less?

By partnering closely with our factories and selling directly to you online, we're able to offer incredible cookware and knives at wholesale pricing. Better materials, lower price. It's a simple maxim that we take seriously at Misen.

We could easily charge more for Misen, but a fair and attainable price feels right to us. Which is why Misen is routinely 60-70% less expensive than other premium brands.
